Charles E. Willmott is Board Certified by the Florida Bar as a expert in the area of marital and family law. Mr. Willmott is a sole practitioner and his practice specializes in marital and family law, family mediation and child custody evaluations. He was admitted to the Florida Bar and Federal Court for the Middle District of Florida in 1994 and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States in 2002. He has successfully mediated hundreds of family law cases as a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Law Mediator and has been a Child Custody Evaluator for the Fourth Judicial Circuit since 1998.
Mr. Willmott graduated from the New England School of Law earning his J.D. degree and Rhode Island College earning his B.A. degree in English Literature. Mr. Willmott has served since 2004 as the Chairman of the Family Law Section of the Jacksonville Bar Association. Mr. Willmott is a Master and Officer on the Executive Council of the Florida Family Law Inn of Court. Mr. Willmott is a member of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar and presently serves on the Continuing Legal Education and Domestic Violence Committees. As part of his commitment to fostering excellence in the legal profession, Mr. Willmott is an Adjunct Professor of Law at Florida Coastal School of Law.
He has lectured for the Jacksonville Bar Association, Florida Family Law Inn of Court, Lorman Education, National Business Institute, and Purses and Portfolios at Jacksonville University on all aspects of marital and family law. He is also responsible for and lectures at the Jacksonville Bar Association’s annual Family Law Section Continuing Legal Education Seminar for Jacksonville attorneys. Mr. Willmott’s legal assistant, Mrs. Debra Martin, has over thirty years of legal experience helping and listening to client’s needs and concerns.
